Master Kimberly Heaney, a 6th degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do, has been training in the martial arts since 1983. She is the owner and chief instructor of Chesapeake Martial Arts. Master Heaney a member of the AAU, has been inducted into the World Christian Martial Arts Hall of Fame and the World Combat Arts Federation Hall of Fame (Instructor of the Year in 2001), participated in the Chuck Norris Kick Drugs out of America Program, St. Jude's Kick A Thon, and is active in community programs with local schools, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and Hospitals.
Master Jim Heaney is a 4th Degree Black Belt and is certified by the Kukkiwon, World Tae Kwon Do Federation, and United States Tae Kwon Do Union. He is a member of the Perry Hall Business Organization, Fullerton/Overlea Business Community Organization, EFC Martial Arts Management Organization, United States Tae Kwon Do Union, National Association of Professional Martial Artists, Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) National Tae Kwon Do Body, and World Combat Arts Federation. Mr. Heaney is also a certified Kickboxing Instructor, Official For National And Jr. Olympic Events, Referee And Judge For National And Jr. Olympic Events. In addition to being inducted into the World Combat Arts Federations Hall of Fame in 2001, Mr. Heaney has also received national awards from the Presidential Council for Physical Fitness.
Ms. Melissa Heaney has been in Tae Kwon Do since age four and is currently a third degree black belt through Kukkiwon, a certified Tae Kwon Do instructor, a member of the Amateur Athletic Union, and the World Combat Arts Federation. Ms. Melissa was presented with Athlete of the Year award through the Amateur Athletic Union and received a Presidential Sports Award. Competing in tournaments, she won second and third place in forms at the Junior Olympics and Nationals. Ms. Melissa also holds rank in Gaijin Ryu Jiu-Jitsu.

Ms. Maria Kimballis the mother of five children, ages 19, 15, 12, 10, and 8. She is employed as a transcriber for the Board of Immigration Appeals and an office assistant for D3, a website development company. Ms. Maria Kimball's martial arts experience started when she was 10 years old in the Japanese style of Shotokan Karate while she was living in Saudi Arabia. She received her first black belt at the age of 15, and was the first female in that country to do so. After taking a break for many years and seeing her oldest daughter start attending classes at a Tae Kwon Do school in Rockville, Maryland, Ms. Maria Kimball's interest was renewed in the martial arts and she began learning Tae Kwon Do. She trained at Advance Martial Arts in Rockville, Maryland, from 2002 until Ms. Maria Kimball and her family moved to Ocean City in 2005. Shortly after their move here, Chesapeake Martial Arts opened and she began attending. While at CMA, Ms. Maria Kimball has achieved her First Dan and Second Dan, and is focused on continuing until the master level.
Ms. Shaunna Giles is currently a sophomore at Stephen Decatur High School and Worcester Technical High School, studying culinary and accelerated mathematics. She plans on having her own restaurant one day. Ms. Shaunna Giles is a 1st degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do and has been a student of martial arts for five years. She has excelled on the demo team, weapons, and tournament team. Her favorite weapon is the bo staff. Competing at the national level, she has placed in the top five for the past four years and has brought home both gold and silver point sparring medals.
Ms. Shaunna Giles loves teaching the younger students and sharing her joy of the art with them. She is currently scheduled to test for her second degree this April!
Ms. Sydney Hudson is a freshman at Stephen Decatur high school. She also attends "The Principles of Biomedical Science Class" at Worcester Technical High School and has played on the girls JV soccer team. Ms. Sydney Hudson's goal is to become a pediatrician.

Ms. Audrey Taylor received her black belt in 2009 and has been an assistant teacher for a while preceding that. She currently attends Stephen Decatur Middle School. She is an honor roll student and is involved in other school activities such as drama and chorus. Ms. Audrey Taylor is from a large family and enjoys volunteering. She has participated as a volunteer with CMA's summer camp and tries to volunteer in other organizations when they need her help. Ms. Audrey Taylor hopes to be an author one day.
Ms. Brandi Bolt is a sophomore at Stephen Decatur High School. She is in the color guard and her goal is to become a teacher. Ms. Brandi Bolt has been attending CMA since September of 2006, and received her 1st Dan April 8, 2009. She has been instructing over the last year and enjoys every minute!
Mr. Matt Cathell is a high school senior at Stephen Decatur High School and Worcester Technical High School. He is an EMT-B and a firefighter serving at Showell Volunteer Fire Department and Selbyville Fire Department. Additionally, Mr. Matt Cathell is an Eagle Scout and a rescue diver.
Mr. Matt Cathell has won numerous medals in competitions, including two silver medals and one bronze medal in a world tournament held in Ireland, as well as one gold, three silver, and one bronze medal in a world tournament held in Ocean City. He has also studied other styles of martial arts which include Isshinryu and Kenpo, both Japanese styles.
Mr. Matt Cathell will be testing for his first degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do this April.
