Weapons Classes

Chesapeake Martial Arts also offers its students the ability to learn authentic martial art weapons. Training with weapons helps to instill additional discipline, concentration, and hand-eye coordination.

Martial Arts weapons trace their beginnings to simple farm tools. They later evolved into weapons of self defense during the period of Japanese Samurai rule. During this time period, it was illegal for anyone but the samurai to carry weapons. Present day laws still recognize these simple farm tools as weapons. Weapons training enhances basic martial arts' "empty handed" techniques while providing students additional learning venues.
